33 MD3 Milled Wedges In Play At RBC Canadian Open, Finau, Bae and Saunders Put Them In The Bag
The new MD3 Milled Wedges are off to a prolific start on Tour, and the trend continued this week with 33 MD3 Milled Wedges in play at the RBC Canadian Open. After debuting on Tour two weeks ago at the John Deere Classic (where 17 went into play) the numbers have continued to rise as more and more players have gotten to work with them and made the switch.
This week, Callaway staffers Tony Finau, Sang-Moon Bae and Sam Saunders were among the players who put new MD3 Milled Wedges in the bag.
Here’s a breakdown of their new MD3 Milled additions:
Tony Finau – (50*, S Grind with 10* of bounce; 56*, S Grind with 10* of bounce)
Sang-Moon Bae – (52*, S Grind with 10* of bounce; 56*, S Grind with 10* of bounce)
Sam Saunders – (50*, S Grind with 10* of bounce; 54*, S Grind with 10* of bounce; 60*, S Grind with 9* of bounce)
“It’s such a friendly wedge,” Callaway wege maker, Roger Cleveland said earlier this week. “They’re a little more generous and the players absolutely love them because they’re so friendly, they’re easy to use. And when you get as many in play as we have so quickly for all the Grind (S, C and the new W), that’s a good indication that it resonates with Tour players.”
