The Clubs Lydia Ko Used to Make Major History

By September 13, 2015Headlines, Tour News

There’s almost too much greatness to fit into one sentence, but we’ll try our best. Callaway staffer Lydia Ko shot 63, in the final round, of a major championship, to become the youngest major winner ever, at 18 years, 4 months and 20 days old. My goodness.

Here’s what she had in the bag for her history-making first major win at the Evian Championship:

– Big Bertha Alpha 815 Double Black Diamond Driver (9*)

– Big Bertha Alpha 815 Fairway Wood (14*)

– Big Bertha Alpha 815 Hybrid (20*)

– Big Bertha Alpha 815 Hybrid (23*)

– Big Bertha Hybrid (25*)

– Apex Pro Irons (5-PW)

– Mack Daddy 2 Tour Grind Wedge 54*

– Mack Daddy 2 Tour Grind Wedge 58*

– Odyssey White Hot Pro 2-Ball Putter

– An SR 3 Golf Ball

She put the driver in play right away at the start of 2015 and it’s been in the bag for all 4 of her LPGA wins this season. The Big Bertha Alpha 815 Hybrids and Apex Pro Irons have also been staples in her bag. Her driver is cut to 45 5/8” with a Draw directional bias and a Standard loft adjustability.

This is her 9th LPGA win and her 13th professional win already. Congrats on another record-breaking performance, Lydia. You amaze us!
