From new staff pros like Marc Leishman and Ollie Schniederjans, to Phil Mickelson, Henrik Stenson and Danny Lee, these guys are just flat out bombing it this year. Though it’s a small sample compared to a full year of stats, we love what we’re seeing already.

Phil Mickelson

  • In The Bag: XR 16 Pro Prototype Driver (8.5°)
  • Driving Average: 307.5 yards per drive
  • Why He Plays It: His gamer features an aerodynamic head shape and helps promote lower spin. In his first event with the driver, he finished T3.

Marc Leishman:

  • In The Bag: XR 16 Driver (9°)
  • Driving Average: 309.5 yards per drive (14.5 yards longer than last year)
  • Why He Plays It: According to our Tour Reps, Marc has said that this is the longest driver he’s played in years, and that it’s very easy to hit.

Ollie Schniederjans

  • In The Bag: XR 16 Driver (10.5°)
  • Driving Average: 308.5 yards per drive
  • Why He Plays It: He’s picked up 2-3 mph more ball speed with XR 16

Danny Lee

  • In The Bag: XR 16 Driver (9°)
  • Driving Average: 288.8 yard per drive (over 5 yards longer than last year)
  • Why He Plays It: Danny particularly likes the forgiveness that he gets with it, even when he misses the center of the face he still gets great distance.

Henrik Stenson

  • In The Bag: XR 16 Driver (9°)
  • Why He Plays It: Henrik put the XR 16 on Trackman and found that his ball speeds and spin dispersion were much better. In his first start with the new driver, he finished T3 in Abu Dhabi.
