The Callaway Clubs Danny Willett Used to Win at Augusta

Last week, Danny Willett didn’t even know if he was going to play at Augusta with his first child due any day. But the baby came, Danny was the last man to enter the field as a new proud dad, and now he’s a legend at Augusta. Here are the clubs he used to win his first green jacket in a MASTERFUL PERFORMANCE:

He first put his XR 16 Driver in the bag in February, and in his 2nd start with it he won in Dubai. In a recent Callaway podcast, Danny said of his driver, “I did a lot of testing with the driver over the winter and I didn’t hit too many balls with it before it went straight in the bag.

“The new XR technology…it did exactly what (Callaway Tour Reps) said it was going to do. It gave me a little more ball speed and helped me control my ball flight. So it was a win-win.”

This week, Willett put in an XR 16 Fairway Wood (19°), in particular for how he wanted to play his second shots into the Par-5s. It was a great option for him to play high, soft shots that he needed to hit at Augusta.
