The progression of former San Diego State golfer Paige Spiranac as a social influencer has been staggering. When she graduated from college, her Instagram took off like it was on an Apollo mission. A deluge of media requests soon followed; photo shoots, video opportunities, interviews…an appearance on Season 1 of Callaway Live.
And now less than a year into her newly-garnered fame, she finds herself on the cover the May 2016 Golf Digest (with an Apex CF 16 Iron in hand), an issue dedicated to the futurism of the game.
“This issue is dedicated to golf’s futurists—the innovators and influencers who are pushing the boundaries of the game, from educational robotics to glow-in-the-dark agronomy,” said Editor-In-Chief Jerry Tarde. “The eye-catching cover image, as modeled by Instagram star Paige Spiranac, is designed to convey this topic of futurism and innovation.”

The highly-anticipated cover release comes a day after she made it to the front page of IMGUR (which is a really big deal for us Internet geeks) for this saucy flop shot…
While at an ad shoot in Vegas this past November, she partnered up with the Bryan Bros to pull off this stunt on the very first try…
In between her guest appearances and media obligations, she remains committed to her game and is grinding on a few swing changes with her coach Tyler Hall in Scottsdale. Expect her to be back on the tournament circuit sometime soon.
