What’s in the Bag: Leishman Wins Big With Epic Driver
How do you get over a disappointing loss on the PGA TOUR? You go out and win your next start wire-to-wire.
That’s exactly what Aussie Marc Leishman did at the BMW Championship — the third and penultimate FedExCup Playoff event. Leishman, who held the 54-hole lead two weeks ago in Boston but came a couple shots short, was LIGHTS OUT at Conway Farms.
Using an Epic Driver and Chrome Soft X ball, he shot rounds of 62-64-68-67 to capture his third PGA TOUR event and second of the season (Arnold Palmer Invitational).
Epic Also Wins LPGA Major & Mackenzie – Canada Tour Finale
In addition to Leishman’s big FedEx Cup event W, two other victories were notched on Sunday. The winner of the LPGA’s Evian Masters, their final major of the season, used an Epic driver, 3 wood and hybrid, and Apex Pro 16 irons in her victory.
Meanwhile in Canada, recent USC grad and Callaway staffer, Rico Hoey, won their last event of the season to sneak into The Five (players who earn status on the Web.com Tour for 2018).
Hoey used an Epic driver, Steelhead XR fairway wood, Chrome Soft ball, Apex MB prototype irons, Mack Daddy Forged Wedges, and Odyssey 2-Ball putter.
AJ is responsible for a lot of the creative digital/social content produced by Callaway, among many other things in the marketing department.
He honed his golf skills by hopping the fence to a local muni course on Long Island, attended Hofstra University, and enjoys nothing more in the world than his muthuh's Italian cooking.
