University of Georgia alum Lee McCoy can finally take a deep breath.
The 23-year-old shot lights out at the final stage of Web.com Q-School in Chandler, Ariz., posting rounds of 65-67-63-65 (28-under) to take home medalist honors and secure full status for 2018.
McCoy took a page out of Lefty’s strategy book and used TWO drivers to work his way around Whirlwind Golf Club; an 8.5° head with a longer shaft and a 10.5° head with a shorter shaft.
“I hit the short one more…depending on if I’m not hitting it well, I’ll use the short one, make sure I get it in play,” he told Web.com Tour’s Kevin Prise. “But it really has kind of changed my game, putting that longer driver in, especially out here on these 590, 600 yard par 5s where I can actually get there in two.”

T30 – Joey Garber
T42 – Brandon Matthews & Chase Wright
