We’re proud to partner with Birdies for the Brave on our Callaway Warrior Club Fitting Program, which we host in association with the PGA TOUR, at numerous events throughout the year. We’ve hosted well over 100 of these fittings, and at these events, we get to meet combat-wounded service members and custom fit them into new Callaway clubs.
This week at the Valero Texas Open, we were honored to fit Patrick Davis (U.S. Army – last photo on the left) and Tyson Schmidt (below right). Tyson is an active duty member of the U.S. Navy who is currently awaiting medical retirement from the military. He’s become a passionate golfer and recently he competed in the Navy Wounded Warrior – Safe Harbor Navy Trials in Jacksonville, Fla.
Another amazing Callaway Warrior Club Fitting in the books!

Patrick enlisted in the Army in 2002 and served as a rifleman, explosive breach specialist, radio transmission operator and company commander driver in Germany and Bosnia, before being deployed to Iraq in 2004. He earned a purple heart before his retirement, and he now serves as a mentor for the Military Warriors Support Foundation. He’s passionate about golf and he enjoys playing with other warriors.
Patrick and Tyson both got fit into new Rogue woods and irons, Mack Daddy 4 wedges, and an Odyssey putter. They both had great range sessions, and Tyson was absolutely ripping his new Rogue Driver. (Seriously, see the Trackman data above…312 yards!)
We want to thank these incredible Warriors for coming out and spending the day with us. It was an absolute privilege!
