Aaron Wise can add 2018 PGA Tour Rookie of the Year to an already long list of accolades that he's received over the course of his young golf career. In his first full season on tour, Aaron secured his first PGA Tour win, tallied 4 top-10 finishes, and closed out the year inside the top-25 of the FedEx Cup Rankings. He joins Daniel Berger ('15), Emiliano Grillo ('16), and Xander Schauffele ('17) as the the fourth straight Callaway staffer to take home the award. Take a closer look at the equipment Aaron used to compete against the best in the world this year.
Rookie of the Year
Aaron has been playing his Rogue Driver since the beginning of the year and he averaged 302.9 yards per drive on the season. He was also 11th on Tour in total driving for the season. His Rogue Driver is his favorite club in the bag and after winning his first tournament on tour, he reiterated how much it’s helped his game – “The ball speed is unmatched. And not only is the ball speed very good, but I tend to miss it out on the toe a lot, and it’s just incredible how forgiving it is with that shot. Driving is definitely a strength of my game, and Rogue has helped make it even more of a strength.”
GBB Epic fairway woods incorporate our revolutionary and proprietary triaxial carbon composite material to enhance forgiveness, power and accuracy. The Hyper Speed Face Cup deliver faster ball speed across the face for increase average distance.
Aaron made the transition to the Apex MB 18 irons early in the year because of the consistent ball flight that he saw when hitting them. Featuring a thinner top line and a classic shape, Aaron feels confident standing over the Apex MB 18s.
Aaron has seen a big improvement in his short game since transitioning to the Chrome Soft X golf ball. His ability to spin the ball and control distances on the firm and fast greens on tour have helped his game a lot. With that, he enjoys the soft feel off of the putter and added ball speed that he has seen off of his Rogue driver.
Aaron used the Odyssey Metal-X Milled 2-Ball putted through his illustrious college career and continues to roll it on tour. Metal-X roll technology brings a truer, more consistent roll, combined with crossbar technology and adjustable weighting to customize feel.
