Callaway is the #1 Driver brand week-in and week-out on the LPGA Tour, and it starts with the overwhelming popularity of our Epic Flash Drivers. In fact, most of the LPGA pros who use our drivers are non-staffers who can put anything in the bag, and they play Epic Flash simply because it performs the best for them. That trend continued in a big way this week, as Callaway absolutely crushed the driver count at the U.S. Women’s Open.
Epic Flash was also the #1 model by far at the event, with an impressive 38 in play. We’ve now won the driver count at both LPGA majors this year, and Callaway has had the most drivers of any brand for the six U.S. majors that have been played across the PGA, LPGA, and Champions Tours this year.
All this great news adds to our incredible success in 2019, as Callaway continues to be #1 in driver usage and driver wins across the major worldwide Tours. And Epic Flash has the most wins (by far) of any driver brand across the major worldwide Tours this year.
Our Odyssey Putters dominated the putter count at the U.S. Women’s Open too, with 64 in play – no other competitor had more than 33. With that, we’ve now gone a perfect 6-for-6 in major putter counts across the PGA, LPGA and Champions Tours in 2019, and at these majors we’ve combined to have a whopping 147 more putters in play than the nearest competitor. That’s insane!
Odyssey’s having a remarkable run on Tour, as we’re by far #1 Putter in worldwide Tour usage and worldwide Tour wins in 2019. And all that success is led by our innovative new Stroke Lab shaft, which helps to improve the tempo and consistency of your stroke. It’s the shaft that some of the world’s best players like Phil Mickelson, Xander Schauffele, Francesco Molinari, and many more trust, and last week alone there were more than 100 Stroke Lab shafts in play across the major worldwide Tours.
So if you plan on watching the U.S. Women’s Open coverage this weekend, you’ll be seeing a lot of our equipment on TV. As you can tell by the numbers, more players choose our Callaway Drivers and Odyssey Putters at the biggest events in golf.
Also out at the Women’s US Open, keep your eyes pealed for Morgan Pressel putting the new Chrome Soft Stars and Stripes ball in play.
